One whole day past just like that. Started from an early morning journey via LRT to Kelana Jaya, a bus(T623) trip to Sunway Pyramid, and a long walk to the Elephant Walk, back entrance of Sunway Lagoon. Meet up with new friends and saw a few familiar faces there. Had a lot of “fun” walking around Sunway Lagoon and chatting. :p
This year theme were as follows :
Theme 1 - Splash!
Theme 2 - Red
Theme 3 - Shooting in Progress
I had a great deal of splashing time at Sunway Lagoon for sure, while trying not to get wet of cos. Didn’t bring any swimming google, no swimming trunk, just me and camera. This is my shot for the first theme :

The kid misses the water splashes
Giving it a slight touch of sepia to it.
Continuing to the 2nd theme was a tough one. Too much red around me, as all participant are wearing the canon red shirt. A sea of red! I guess I just walk around for something else that’s red. Thus this is what I selected for the 2nd theme :

A slow shutters on the turning tunnel of red.
Uses a slow shutter on this to bring out the sense of movement in it.
Every one is doing their own shooting in any possible ways. So one might say its so easy to get this photo. Some gave some humor to the photo. I guess I just try to frame up that guy holding his bazooka, in the work in progress area, while he is making sure that he shoot the next log that comes out of the anaconda’s mouth! So that’s how I got the 3rd theme :

Melvin posing with his 300mm Nikkor
Actually that guy was Melvin, we chat around during breakfast. Meet him through Jacky.
While waiting for my photos to be uploaded to the server, I went around testing the EF 85mm F1.2 on my camera body. Earlier tested it on the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III. The picture that it produces were just amazing. Hard to believe my eyes, so, I capture some photo with that lens as a souvenir, as I can’t simply bring home that lens. The only cons about the EF 85mm F1.2 was the price and the weight. Got a chance to test the other lens like the 180mm F3.5 macro, 100mm F2.8 macro, 70mm-200mm F2.8 and so on.
Overall, I am quite tired now. Thanks to Eugene for sending me to LRT. Without him, I am doubtful of getting back home at all. The event end up around 10.20pm.
